My experience of Shikoku is limited to Ehime and Kochi Prefectures. A memorable experience was making my own Tobe-yaki ceramics in Matsuyama City. I made a few pieces for my family as omiyage.https://www.visitehimejapan.com/en/see-and-do/470
One of my favorite spots is Garyu Sanso in Ozu City, Ehime Pref. It's sumptuous in its architectural details and is totally over the top for a sukiya tea house. The whole town is a treasure with the castle and candle industry.https://www.visitehimejapan.com/en/see-and-do/508
If I ever have the chance I want to visit the Makino botanical garden in Kochi prefecture.
Makino was a Japanese botanist and described a lot of local species.
Next year NHK is having their asadora (morning drama) based on his life so no doubt the place will be crowded 😂
