I wonder, are there regional differences in the reading of that expression? My dictionary says ikidomari, and I somehow got in the habit of saying yukidomari and nobody blinks an eye.
FYI, I picked up some dialect quirks from Kansai and now live close to Ibaraki which has a range of dialect usage.
I really like the sign that says この先自動車通り抜けできません which means that there is a path but not wide enough for a car to get through. I find them pretty unique. In my home country we'd just have a dead end sign instead.
