Ah, probably that is it. That dog got into the server room and eating pages again :-). I was able to access the site now. However, I must admit to being private about some things; they are asking if I smoke or drink or drive, what my finances are and I must wonder, why do they need this info? Maybe I don't want people to know I'm not a bar-hopper--oops, too late, I just let people know. Hmm, maybe for the vouchers they give to writers? If so, then I will want to answer those questions as I don't need any smokes or drinks (you know, the non-bar-hopper secret life I lead). Though, as with all humans, I am a contradiction as some things I will be too open about and others I go "none of your business, thank you." :-). Anyway, thanks for the quick reply.

I find it's really interesting to observe the experiences of other foreign residents here who live in regions I have yet to explore. Do you have any favorite bloggers on City Cost that you follow?

Like a lot of media aimed at foreigners in Japan, English appears to be lingua franca on the platform. There are some Europeans on there writing in English, by the way.
